Garrett Jackson
       Garrett a native Texan, has spent a majority of his life outside of his home state.  He has traveled extensively with his family as a child and now with his wife and son. Garrett and his family currently make their home in the U.S. possession of the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, on the island of Saipan.  Garrett Currently serves as Editor and Publisher of Texhoma Teacher and is a Special Education teacher at Saipan Southern High School. He also writes for other blogs dealing with government, politics and education when he has time.
       Garrett holds a Bachelor of Arts in History, from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets.
During his time as a Cadet, Garrett learned about selfless service and helping those who are less fortunate, something he puts into practice daily. Having learned such great lessons as a member of the Corps of Cadets, Garrett entered education in 2004, and became a certified teacher in 2006.  Garrett is currently working on a Master's of Arts in Special Education, at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.
        Garrett is married to his lovely wife Chai and they have a wonderful son, Gabe.  Garrett enjoys, playing with his son, traveling, hunting, fishing, competitive shooting, and amateur radio, but he does not have time for most of the extra curricular actives between family, work and his Master's program.

Alison Durocher
Alison Durocher is an Occupational Therapist with over 12 years of experience working with children and adults with special needs. She graduated from Dalhousie University in Canada with a B.Sc.O.T. and then went on to complete a post-professional M.S.O.T through an online program with A.T. Still University in Arizona, several years later. Her area of expertise include autism spectrum disorder (ASD), sensory processing disorders, picky eaters and problem feeders, and handwriting remediation. She has been involved in the development of a pilot project to establish a multi-disciplinary kindergarten classroom to serve children with ASD. She has also worked as part of an ASD assessment team and provided consultation and direct therapy in the schools in Canada for many years. In addition, recently she volunteered as an OT in Southern India. Her newest adventure is telepractice - providing online occupational therapy services around the world.
