Happy 2019!
2018 was a decent year, but was rough.
I graduated with a Masters in Special Ed. With a lot of help from my wife. I could not have done it without you.
My son got a lot of experiences this year too. We traveled as a family to the US Mainland.
I started an EdD program in August just in time for two Typhoons. I am currently working hard to finish up a class. I hope to have all the work done in a few days. I am looking forward to the next few classes.
I am inspired by two friends, on all the have accomplished in 2018. I will be working on a few goals for 2019.
1. By December 31, 2019, Garrett will lose 50 lbs, by adjusting diet and adding an exercise routine to his daily habits as measured by a bathroom scale.
2. By December 31, 2019, Garrett will read 7 books not part of his educational classes and write a brief review on Facebook.
1. The Checklist Manifesto: How to Get Things Right
2. Firefly - Big Damn Hero
3. The Princess Bride
4. The Fifth Witness
5. No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy: The Life of
General James Mattis
6.The Marines, Counterinsurgency, and Strategic
Culture: Lessons Learned and Lost in America's Wars
7. It s About Time Planning Interventions and
Extensions in Secondary School
3. By December 31, 2019, Garrett will write 12 blog posts onTexhomaTeacher.blogspot.com over various topics.
4. By December 31, 2019, Garrett reduce his consumption of Dr. Pepper (and other soda) to no more than a single 12 oz serving per week.
So that's it for plans.
In 2018 I did read a few books, I am not listing the ones I had to read for school.
1. Spy the Lie
2. Get the Truth
3. Lincoln Lawyer
4. Artemis
5. Hoodwinked
6. Bullies
7. Ready Player One
8. Verbal Judo
I hope to have more to post soon.
